a revolution [May. 15th, 2008|10:11 pm]

totallyjeremy
i feel like we're in need of a revolution. watching VH1's discussion of the sexual revolution of the 60's/70's makes me question our society today. we could have rampant sex clubs back then, that garnerd news coverage, and today only two states have legalized gay marriage. yay california right? not that i'd ever get married. its nice to see people in love be able to have some sort of ceremony.

i hate ceremonies.

but i love revolutions.

we have had a technical revolution, technology is so beyond my comprehension right now. and the scary thing is, we're exposed to things that have been tested and worked on, who knows what their cooking up in those labs now.

anyway, i feel a revolution coming on. the question of what i will do with my life looms over my head like a lil cloud, and i think it will for the rest of my life. oy.

oh well, optimistically hoping for a second sexual revolution.

Apple most gay-friendly tech firm in new study
Included in the same ranks as TV network Bravo, vodka maker Absolut, and jeans maker Levi's, Apple is one of the brands friendliest to a gay and lesbian audience, a new survey from PlanetOut claims.

The homosexual respondents chose the Mac maker above all other technology companies as being the most sympathetic based largely on the company's public perception, including marketing, discussions with friends, and the brand's representation by the media.

A key supplier of Apple's, Korea-based Samsung, is rated as one of the least friendly along with such company as Dunkin Donuts and Wal-Mart.

PlanetOut doesn't explain why Apple in particular has been singled out, but claims that many gay and lesbian people are "early adopters" of many products.

These users also tend to dramatically increase their support of a brand when they feel gay imagery is present, PlanetOut notes.

Lazy [May. 13th, 2008|11:28 pm]

trevoroscopy
I realize I've become pretty lazy and jaded.  The things that normally interest me - fashion, music, magazines, etc. - seem too tedious to get involved in.  I don't know what's wrong with me.

I'm too lazy to look up pictures of events that happened.  Maybe it's the internet that's getting to me.  I don't want to take the time to look up fashion shows or new artists.  Even this journal.  It feels like such a chore to just frickin' blog what's on my mind.   Once I start typing, I just lose any cohesion to my thoughts and all desire to blog.

I hate this feeling.  I think it's my boring job.  My boredom and apathy has carried over to the rest of my life.

a college graduate! [May. 12th, 2008|06:39 pm]

totallyjeremy
well, it is official. after four years i am officially a college graduate. those of you who knew me before may be as stunned and suprised as i am considering the fact that i almost didnt go to school at all. thank goodness.

but now with this degree who knows what the world holds.

right now i am a mess. ive got some sort of cold and sorting through all my belongings from the past to make room for all the stuff i aquired over my four years at catawba has put me through the emotional ringer. i have found old year books, notes, scripts, pictures, doodles, jottings and anything that could reak of nostalgia and its starting to get to me.

being home will be nice. but i already miss the fact that i cant just walk down the hall or across the way and find a friend or two to chat about nothing with. my profanity has be squelched, and i dont think ive referenced paula dean in the last 24 hours and its making me tweak.

i already crave my friends, but ill see them all shortly and curtly. the summer beckons with its terrible heat and my future appears optimistic and ripe for the taking, lets see where it goes...

My cat has had projectile diarrhea since he was outside the other day.

I'm guessing that he ate something strange and/or gross while spending the night outside.

If I have to take him to the vet, guess who I'm sticking with the bill?

lettering set

had the phone not rung and snapped me out of it, i might never have fully noticed that, as i sat hunched over my lettering set and a big stack of papers, i was singing the following. at full volume.

got me a drawing
i want you to know!
tracing out letters
i want you to know!
hemming and hawing
i want you to know!
don't know about you
but i am un T!-square end-user

i am un T!-square end-user (×3)

wanna grow
up to be
be an eraser!

eraser! (×5)

i've only been back in ohio for 2 days, and i think it may already have  been too long.
the next verse rhymed "lettering scriber" with "karlheinz schreiber."
